Women's Golf Council of Southern California Tournament
The Women's Golf Council of Southern California (WGCSC) will hold its first tournament of 2016 on Saturday, February 27 at Mountain Meadows Golf Course (Pomona). The format is a Better Ball of Partners with an entry fee of $64, and the event is open to any female amateur golfer with a verifiable USGA Handicap Index. Sectional Qualifying for U.S. Women's Amateur Four-Ball
U.S. Women's Amateur Four-Ball Sectional Qualifying will be held on March 7 at Redlands Country Club in Rancho Cucamonga. Premier Play Happy Days with Nancy Lopez
Premier "Play Happy Days" with Nancy Lopez will be held on March 24th at Riverwalk Golf Club in San Diego and on March 29th at Palm Valley Country Club in Palm Desert. Experience first hand from the LPGA Hall of Fame Member what it takes to play your best. Hear how a golf legend reached the pinnacle of golf and continues to share her success on and off the golf course. Spend time working with Nancy and her Instructional Staff on the FUNdamentals of the game and watch an Exhibition by Nancy on the finer points of her game. 2nd Annual Women's Southern California Amateur Championship
The 2016 Women's Southern California Amateur Championship, consisting of 54 holes of stroke play, will be held on August 8-9 at Rancho Santa Fe Golf Club. The entry fee is $125, and the event is open to Southern California female amateur golfers with a USGA Handicap Index of 9.4 or below at the time of registration. The entry deadline is June 26, 2016. In addition to specified Exempt categories, there will be three qualifying rounds (18 holes of stroke play). For further information click HERE.

Important Dates for 2016 Qualifiers and Tournaments
Several qualifiers for 2016 USGA Championships will be held in Southern California during the year, as well as three qualifiers to compete in the 2nd annual Women's Southern California Amateur Championship. 2017 Drive, Chip and Putt Championship
The United States Golf Association, Masters Tournament and the PGA of America officially launched the 2017 Drive, Chip and Putt Championship by announcing the local qualifying sites for the upcoming year. The schedule includes dates and locations for participants to play in local qualifiers across the country with the opportunity to advance and earn an invitation to next year's National Finals at Augusta National Golf Club. Registration Open for 2016 PGA/USGA Rules of Golf Workshops
As part of a longstanding cooperative effort to provide service to the game and enhance understanding of the Rules of Golf, the USGA and the PGA of America will again conduct Rules of Golf workshops around the United States in 2016. These workshops are open to the public and bring together several of the foremost Rules of Golf educators, with the goal of making the Rules accessible and understandable to anyone wanting to learn more about them or wanting to sharpen their existing knowledge. Changes to the USGA Rules of Golf and Handicap System Beginning in 2016
The R&A and the United States Golf Association have announced the publication of the 2016 edition of the Rules of Golf that takes effect on January 1, 2016. The new Rules book is the culmination of the normal four-year review cycle and is a collaborative work by The R&A and the USGA that applies worldwide to all golfers. See the announcement HERE. In tandem with the 2016 updates to the Rules of Golf, the United States Golf Association has announced revisions to the USGA Handicap System, also effective January 1, 2016. The Women's Golf Alliance and GottaGoGolf Announce New Partnership
The Women's Golf Alliance and GottaGoGolf have announced a new partnership. The Women's Golf Alliance, the fast-growing consortium of women's state and regional golf associations, is offering its 120,000 affiliated members a free subscription to GottaGoGolf Magazine in 2015.
